Charity and Volunteering

Charity plays an important role in every Lodge and is at the heart of every mason.

Freemasonry is a large supporters of charity in terms of the amount of its charitable donations and volunteer work carried out by its brethren. Freemasons are taught to practice charity and to care, not only for their own families and friends, but for their community as a whole – both by charitable giving, and by voluntary efforts and works as individuals.

Freemasonry has been concerned with the care of children, those who are ill, and the care of older people, from its earliest days.  This work continues today among the members of the Corinthian Lodge. The funds raised by the brethren in our lodge for charity are given to non-Masonic national and local charities in support of their work for the benefit of non-masons, local communities and society in general.

If you wish to support our Worshipful Master’s charity or support our lodge in raising funds, please contact our Lodge Charity Steward.
